In order to do this, we must develop long-range goals and the ability to appreciate and focus on the moment at hand. The inspiration for this piece is the gift of the present; those individual moments upon which each day is built. The exhilarating energy of those individual moments is conveyed by the constant use of eighth notes throughout most of the composition.
